Digital Event Pass is a secure, mobile-first ticketing system designed for fast, reliable entry at live events. This guide explains how passes work, how scanning behaves, and what to expect on event day.
What Is a Digital Event Pass?
A Digital Event Pass is a secure ticket tied to one device and one attendee. Each pass uses a rotating QR code to prevent screenshots, sharing, or reuse.
- Single-scan (one-time entry)
- Re-entry (multiple valid scans)
Your event organizer decides which type applies.
How Scanning Works
- The QR code is validated in real time
- The system confirms the pass is active and for the correct event
- The gate displays Valid, Re-Entry, or Invalid
Once a scan is accepted, it is logged immediately.
Single Scan vs Re-Entry Passes
🎟️ Single Scan Pass
- Allows one successful entry
- After the first scan, the pass is used
- Additional scans will be rejected
🔁 Re-Entry Pass
- Allows multiple scans
- First scan = check-in
- Later scans = re-entry
Device Locking
For security, each pass is locked to the first device that opens it.
- Screenshots and forwarded links will not work
- Scanning from a different device will fail
- Some events allow moving a pass before it is used
Wallet Passes
Some passes support Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
- Wallet passes still follow single-scan rules
- Once scanned, they cannot be reused
- Wallet passes cannot be transferred after use
Expired Passes
A pass expires after the event ends or its valid days are complete.
- Expired passes cannot be scanned
- They appear as Expired in your wallet
- They are removed after a short time
Gifts & Shared Passes
🎁 Receiving a Pass
Claim gifted passes to add them to your wallet. Each gift can only be claimed once.
📤 Sending a Pass
Unclaimed passes can be sent to others by email or shareable link.
